Terms of service
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of the online game Rescue Control and the related website (the “Service”), provided by [COMPANY NAME], with registered office at [REGISTERED OFFICE], VAT no. [VAT NUMBER] (the “Provider”). By registering or using the Service you accept these Terms.
1. The Service
Rescue Control is a free management video game, playable in a browser, in which the user directs a simulated emergency response system on a map based on open data.
The Service is a work of fiction. It is not an emergency system, does not provide real operational information and is not affiliated with any emergency agency, corps or service. In a real emergency call 112.
The Provider may modify, suspend or discontinue features of the Service, including for reasons of maintenance, security or game balancing.
2. Eligibility and minimum age
You must be at least 14 years old to register. By registering you declare that you meet the age requirement. Anyone under 18 may make purchases only with the consent of the person holding parental responsibility.
The Provider may ask for confirmation of age and suspend accounts for which the requirement does not appear to be met.
3. Account and access
Access is passwordless, by means of a one-time code sent to the email address you provide. You are responsible for keeping your mailbox confidential and for the activities carried out with your account.
Your Director name must not be offensive, misleading or infringe the rights of others, nor suggest an affiliation with real organisations. The Provider may require you to change it.
Each person may hold only one account. Selling, transferring or sharing the account is not permitted.
4. Credits: licence to use virtual currency
“Credits” are the only virtual currency in the game. They are obtained by playing (mission rewards, periodic salary, bonuses, optional rewarded videos) or by purchase.
Credits are not money, have no monetary value, do not accrue interest and do not represent a claim against the Provider. The user receives solely a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable and non-assignable licence to use them within the game.
Credits cannot be converted into money, refunded (except as provided by law), sold, exchanged or transferred between accounts or outside the Service.
The Provider may change prices, rewards and game balancing. Such changes do not give rise to any right to compensation, without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers.
5. Purchases
Purchases are optional. The price is always shown in euros, inclusive of VAT where applicable, before the order is confirmed. Payment is handled by a third-party payment service provider (Stripe); the Provider does not store full card details.
Purchased Credits are credited to the account once the payment provider has confirmed the payment. Confirmation of the purchase is sent by email.
The game does not include paid chance-based mechanics (loot boxes or similar). Purchased Credits speed up management processes but do not unlock progression levels.
6. Right of withdrawal and digital content
Consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Credits are digital content supplied on a non-tangible medium and delivered immediately after purchase.
At the time of purchase you are asked to expressly consent to the immediate performance of the contract and to acknowledge that, once the Credits have been credited, you lose your right of withdrawal pursuant to Article 59(1)(o) of the Italian Consumer Code (Codice del Consumo, Legislative Decree no. 206/2005).
This is without prejudice to the statutory remedies for lack of conformity and to refunds for incorrect or unauthorised charges.
7. Rewarded videos and referrals
Watching videos in exchange for Credits is always optional and subject to daily limits. No forced advertising is shown during play.
The “Recruit 2 Directors” programme awards bonus Credits when the people invited register using the personal link and reach the required minimum activity threshold. Fake accounts, self-invites and any other form of abuse are prohibited: the Provider may cancel bonuses obtained improperly.
8. Rules of conduct
By using the Service you undertake not to:
- use bots, scripts, automation or software that alters the way the game works;
- exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them;
- create multiple accounts to obtain bonuses or advantages;
- sell or buy accounts, Credits or in-game advantages outside the Service;
- access the Provider’s systems without authorisation or interfere with them;
- use names or content that are unlawful, offensive or imitate real organisations.
9. Intellectual property
The game, the Rescue Control trade mark, the software, graphics and text are the property of the Provider or its licensors. The user is granted a limited, non-exclusive licence for personal, non-commercial use.
Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the ODbL licence. Territorial statistical data comes from ISTAT. The names of emergency services are used in a purely descriptive sense; no official emblems or liveries are reproduced.
10. Suspension and closure of the account
You may request deletion of your account at any time from the settings or by writing to [SUPPORT EMAIL]. On deletion, your progress and any remaining Credits are erased.
In the event of a breach of the Terms the Provider may, in proportion to the seriousness of the breach, issue a warning, remove advantages obtained improperly, or suspend or close the account, giving the user a reasoned notice.
11. Availability and liability
The Service is provided “as is”. The Provider undertakes to use reasonable care to keep it available, but does not guarantee that it will be free from interruptions or errors.
To the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for indirect damage or for loss of game progress due to causes not attributable to it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or the rights granted to consumers by law.
12. Changes to the Terms
The Provider may update these Terms. Material changes are notified with reasonable notice by email or in the game. If you do not accept them you may delete your account before they take effect.
13. Governing law and disputes
The Terms are governed by Italian law. For consumers, jurisdiction lies with the court of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile. Consumers resident in another Member State of the European Union retain the protection of the mandatory rules of their own country.
For out-of-court settlement you may turn to a competent ADR body. Contact: [LEGAL EMAIL].
14. Player content
Inside an alliance you can publish texts meant for other players: notes and announcements on the board, chat messages, the name and description of the alliance, your Director's name. Only text is allowed: no images, links, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or references to social profiles. There are no private messages between players.
You are responsible for what you write. You grant the Provider a free, non-exclusive licence limited to hosting, showing to the other members, keeping for the period stated in the privacy notice and moderating your content. Your texts are visible to the members of your alliance; the Director's name and the alliance name are visible to every registered player.
When the account is deleted your content is anonymised at once and its text is erased within 30 days, except what is kept for reports under review.
15. Moderation, sanctions and appeal
Before writing you must accept the Community rules in their current version. An automatic filter refuses texts containing banned words, links or contact details and masks vulgar language; some texts are queued for review. Every message, post, name and description can be reported by other players; content reported by three different people, or reported for sexual content or threats, is hidden pending review.
The high roles of an alliance (Coordinator and Deputy) may remove content, mute for a limited time and remove members of their own alliance. The Service administration reviews reports and may, in proportion to the gravity: dismiss, remove the content, warn, suspend writing for a period, suspend the account, impose a neutral name, close an alliance. The ordinary ladder is a warning, writing suspended for 24 hours, then for 7 days, then the account suspended; grave cases skip the steps.
Every sanction is communicated to you with its reason, in the game and by e-mail. You may contest it by writing to [LEGAL EMAIL] within 30 days: a person reviews the decision and answers you. In an emergency the Provider may set boards and chats to read-only, for everybody or for a single alliance.
